Science
As a core subject, considerable emphasis is placed on the teaching of Science in our school. Lessons are based on the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority Scheme (Q.C.A.), and are supplemented with further resources from other published schemes. Science is approached through group based practical activities, involving problem solving, discussion and recording of results. This provides the opportunity to develop children's skills effectively, whilst covering the requirements of the National Curriculum. Children are encouraged to develop an enquiring mind, and to acquire the thought processes necessary to follow through independent investigations.
