History

In History, the children are given the opportunity to acquire a wide variety of skills, and to learn about many historical periods such as; the Victorians, Britain since 1930, Invaders and Settlers,
and the history of their own local area. They are encouraged to use sources including written, visual and oral to explore and research. In Key Stage One, basic skills are learned and history is approached in relation to themselves and their own environment, with only occasional focus on significant and famous events, such as the Great Fire of London.
